Theodora Katsifi is an author writing for children and young adults. She was born in Athens in 1974 and studied acting at the Art Theatre Karolos Koun Drama School. She has received many accolades for her books, including winning the 2022 Greek IBBY Award for Best Book for Young Adults and the 2022 Anagnostis Award for Best Book for Young Adults and being shortlisted for the 2018 Anagnostis Award for Best Illustrated Book and 2022 Greek State Awards for Children’s Books. She teaches creative writing to children and adults. In 2024 she presented the paper ‘The Island of Good Stories: Presenting a workshop series that empowers young readers/writers to map and harness the powers of engaging storytelling’ with Petros Panaou in the 39th IBBY International Congress in Trieste.
