The Blue Raincoat
The Blue Raincoat, the second book of the series, takes place in autumn and Vasilou, known as Lou, after seeing some of her schoolmates wearing raincoats on a rainy day, insistently asks for her own raincoat. A blue one! She needs it!
And so, her parents get her one and Lou can’t wait to wear it and go play outside in the rain. Only...it’s sunny that day, and the next, and the next....and the next...and the next...and all she can think about is how much she wants it to rain, how happy she’d be if she saw clouds in the sky and how she just can’t wait anymore for the rain.
And then, one day...it rains! Her parents go to her room all excited to take her out in the rain...but she’s busy, and she wants to finish her puzzle first! Being autumn, the rain doesn’t stop for days...and soon Lou is tired of the rain and asks her parents when will it ever stop!
Another fun and funny story again wonderfully illustrated full of lovely details, with the charming and unstoppable Vasilou, about desires, impatience and things that are outside of our control like the weather!
