Christos Markogiannakis
Christos Markogiannakis studied Law and Criminology in Greece and France. He honed his skills as a criminal lawyer in Crete before relocating to Paris. His love for crime fiction and his background as a criminologist and avid reader eventually led him to create his own crime stories starting in 2017. Since then Christos Markogiannakis has published seven books in France. His diverse work, ranging from essays to fiction, has been recognized with prestigious literary awards, including the Prix National du Document Littéraire in 2018 and the Prix Méditerranée du Polar in 2023. As a criminologist and crime fiction writer, Christos Markogiannakis is a thorough researcher and his novels are the fruit of intensive investigative work. He introduced the term Criminart, a groundbreaking fusion of art and crime, showcasing his innovative thinking and unique approach to the genre. Christos Markogiannakis is a member of the esteemed Crime Writers’ Association. He loves talking about his work and crime fiction and has been regularly attending book festivals and fairs throughout France, the US, UK, Canada, Switzerland, and Belgium, among others.
