Fox, his dad and his mom – a family of dogs – have a human for a pet, little Kostas. They love him, they take care of him like he is part of the family and, when the time comes for them to leave for their summer vacation, they abandon him far, far away from home. And that is when Kostas becomes a stray, left all alone to wander lost and frightened in the inhospitable, dark city and up against a myriad of dangers. This sounds like a very strange tale… or maybe it isn’t? Makis Tsitas’ picture book takes on the subject of animal cruelty and protection in a completely original and fresh light.
